Always reliable for tracking my health

I've ordered from OmegaQuant several times over the years, usually for the Fatty Acid Profile, and it's consistently easy. This time I was curious about the Mother's Milk DHA Test, and the blood sample collection was just as straightforward as before โ€“ a quick finger prick and done. Never had an issue with their kits or results.

Easy and clear results.

Better than Everlywell, Omega-3 Index Plus test was simple and results were easy to understand.

Got my DHA levels checked

I needed to check my DHA levels for pregnancy, so I got the Prenatal DHA Test. It was super easy to order online. The kit showed up pretty fast, and the instructions were clear for poking my finger and getting the blood sample. I sent it back, and the results came in my email about 10 days later. Everything was pretty smooth sailing, no complaints. Glad I did it.

Mostly good, some waiting

I tried the Vitamin D Test from OmegaQuant. The kit came pretty quick after ordering, and the instructions were clear for taking the sample. The collection process was easy enough. Registering the kit online was also simple. My only small issue was waiting for the results. It took closer to two weeks than the 7-10 days they mentioned, which felt a bit long. But the results themselves were comprehensive and gave me good info. I appreciate the convenience of at-home testing, and the price was fair. Just wish the results were a little faster.

Detailed review of Omega-3 Index Plus

I ordered the Omega-3 Index Plus kit from OmegaQuant last month. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. The kit arrived in about 4 days to my address in California, well-packaged with clear instructions for sample collection. I registered the kit online easily, and the blood spot collection itself was simple enough, though I had to prick my finger twice to get enough blood. Mailed it back in the provided envelope. I got my results emailed to me in about 10 days, which was within their stated timeframe. The report was detailed and easy to understand, showing my fatty acid levels and what they mean. I didn't need to contact customer support, so I can't speak to that. Overall, a smooth experience.

Good value with the bundle

I was looking for a good deal on testing and found OmegaQuant. I picked up the Heart Health Kit during a sale, which included a few tests I wanted. It felt like a solid saving compared to buying them all separately. The price was competitive, and I felt I got my money's worth for sure. Worth the purchase.

hey, anyone living in like, New York City? How long did it take for the kit to arrive after you ordered?

R Ryan Carter 1 month ago
I'm in Brooklyn, and my kit got here in about 4-5 business days. Pretty standard shipping, nothing crazy fast or slow.

Mine was similar, maybe a week, including a weekend. So within a week seems about right for East Coast delivery.

can you use your HSA for these tests? just wondering if it's an eligible expense.

D Dan Bennett 2 months ago
Yeah, I used my HSA card for the Mother's Milk DHA Test. It went through fine for me.

I think most health-related tests are good for HSA/FSA, I haven't had an issue with any lab tests like this before.

Thinking of getting the test but worried about collecting the sample. Is it really easy or is it a huge pain?

N Noor S. 2 months ago
It's surprisingly easy! Just a tiny prick on your finger and you dab a few drops on the card. Way less intimidating than it sounds.

N Nick Vargas 2 months ago
Yeah, the instructions are super clear. Just make sure your finger is warm so the blood flows easily, that's the main tip I'd give.

which is better for general omega-3 testing, the plus or the complete version? what's the real difference?

C Chris J. 2 months ago
The Complete gives you a lot more detail, like the full fatty acid profile, not just the omega-3 index. If you're really trying to dial in your diet, Complete is probably better.

A Alex Kim 2 months ago
I went with Plus because I just wanted to see my main Omega-3 number. Complete is good if you want all the nitty-gritty fatty acid info. Depends how deep you wanna go.

Omega-3 Index Plus or Complete? What's the real difference?

A Anjali_Kaur 3 weeks ago โœ“ Best Answer
The Plus just gives you the Omega-3 Index. Complete gives you a whole fatty acid profile, like Omega-6/Omega-3 Ratio and Arachidonic Acid to EPA Ratio. I went with Complete, felt like more info for a little extra.

Yeah, Complete is better if you're really trying to dial in your diet.

R Ria_Sharma 3 weeks ago
Oh, so Complete is like the full picture then? Good to know.

K Kiran_Singh 3 weeks ago
If you're tracking your diet seriously, go Complete. Otherwise, Plus is fine.

Exactly. Depends on your goals.

This is what I figured.

I got the Plus first because it was cheaper and I just wanted to know my Omega-3. It was enough for me to decide on supplements.

Makes sense for a first test.
